Downtown Bellingham Partnership Announces 2023 Storefront Grant
Reminder: Downtown Bellingham Partnership Storefront Grant Applications Open
The Downtown Bellingham Partnership (DBP) is accepting applications for a matching grant program to assist up to three Downtown businesses with improvements to their building facades, signage, and/or surroundings. This program, managed by the DBP, is made possible by funding from community partner, BECU. After an application review and selection process, DBP will reimburse up to 50% of the cost of eligible improvements, to a maximum of $2,000 each for three different properties.
Eligible applicants must be physically located within the Downtown Bellingham neighborhood and must be a business that is officially open. Awards shall be based on creativity, visual impact, and degree of change between before and after. The scope of the improvement project should have a quick turnaround for installation and is for work done to the exterior of the site only; interior work or projects are not eligible. Examples include façade improvements such as vinyl decals, signage, plants and containers, fresh paint, window signage, lighting and creative and imaginative exterior elements.
